Dr. Michele Kraft has been a podiatrist for almost 30 years, and now has the opportunity to continue her passion serving her patients with educational, functional alternatives to help people keep their “toes on the go”.
Throughout Dr. Kraft’s career, she has observed so many foot problems were caused by poor choices of footwear, over the counter remedies, or waiting too long to seek professional advice.
Many patients were able to modify, restore, and sometimes prevent future foot problems once they understood their individual foot shape, function, limitations, and medical issues that affected their feet.
To share this knowledge, Dr. Kraft now offers speaking engagements to employers on foot-related work safety, prevention tips when training for marathons, golf or tennis tournaments, and individual consultations for advice for athletic shoes, dress and casual shoes and maintenance plans for foot health. Common foot ailments include heel pain and plantar fascititis, fallen arches, ankle sprains, bunions and crooked toes, warts, suspicious moles, athlete’s feet, cracked skin, calluses, diabetic foot care, and fungal toenails.
In addition, Dr. Kraft can perform minor in office surgeries, biopsies of lesions, shaving of deep calluses and corns, and ingrown toenail remedies.
Dr. Kraft is able to provide necessary referrals for labs, x-rays, durable medical equipment, other providers, and prescriptions when needed. She can also provide second opinions to patients contemplating foot surgery from another health care provider.
“Making Feet Happy One Step at a Time”
Toes on the Go is a solo physician podiatry practice dedicated to helping people be proactive about their foot health.
Dr. Michele Kraft has been a podiatrist for 30 years, and specializes in sports medicine and geriatric care. She promotes wellness and holistic practices to help patients. No two feet are identical, and so the treatment plan for each individual patient is custom and unique. Custom orthotics for golf and tennis are her unique skills, being an avid tennis and golf player herself.
She has been a guest speaker for Loma Linda University medical students and has been a professor teaching kinesiology and anatomy/physiology to medical colleges. She also has volunteered speaking for marathoners, golfers and tennis players, and at Team in Training for Leukemia/Lymphona Society and several country clubs for injury prevention tools.
Toes on the Go and Dr. Kraft is excited to be part of the Carmel community and is constantly striving to stay educated for new treatments and services that will help her patients become pain-free, more functional and improve their quality of life. Some newer modalities include regenerative medicine to help with chronic painful conditions and Keryflex nail treatments to help change the appearance of a toenail in one visit.
Toes on the Go offers educational wellness seminars to employers in Monterey County, promoting injury prevention and active lifestyles.
